FAQs
Vijaysar (Pterocarpus marsupium), also known as Indian Kino or Malabar Kino, is a large deciduous tree whose bark and heartwood are rich in bioactive compounds including isoflavonoids, terpenoids, and tannins. Our powder is made from pure sun-dried heartwood — edible grade with no additives, fillers, or preservatives.
Take ¼–½ teaspoon of Vijaysar churna with lukewarm water, twice a day, preferably before meals. Elderly individuals or those with dry skin/constipation may prefer a lower dose of 0.5–1g. Always start with the smaller amount and consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalised guidance.
Pour water into a tumbler made from Vijaysar heartwood at night and let it sit for 8–10 hours — the water will turn brown in colour. Drink this water on an empty stomach in the morning. The tumbler should be changed after about a month if the water no longer changes colour, indicating it has lost potency. Our powder offers a more portable alternative to this classical method.
Consistent use of Vijaysar for at least 2 to 3 months is generally recommended to observe noticeable benefits, particularly for blood sugar and digestive support. Results vary depending on individual factors and lifestyle.
Pregnant or nursing women should not take Vijaysar
