Salab Panja Powder
Salab Panja Powder is a time-honoured herb rooted in centuries of traditional Ayurvedic and Unani use — commonly known as Punja, Salam Panja, Salep, or Hath-Panja due to its hand-like, palmately-lobed tuberous roots. Its roots are traditionally described as cooling, emollient, rejuvenating, and tonic in nature. Valued as a nutraceutical, particularly beneficial for ageing individuals due to its high nutritive value — containing a nutritious starch-like polysaccharide called glucomannan.

FAQs
Salab Panja, also known as Panja, Salam-Panja, Salep, or Hath-Panja, gets its name from its hand-like tuberous roots — fleshy roots that resemble a palm with fingers. Our Salab Panja is sourced from Iran, a traditional region for Salep cultivation. The raw tubers are carefully cleaned and stone-ground into a pure, fine powder — edible grade with no additives or preservatives.
Our Salab Panja Powder is made from Salep Orchid tubers imported from Iran — a region with a long traditional history of Salep cultivation, used in traditional drinks, desserts, and herbal preparations across the Middle East and South Asia.
Take one tablespoon of Salab Panja powder in the morning on an empty stomach with water or milk. For general weakness, it can be taken twice a day for the first 15 days to a month, then reduced to once daily as symptoms improve. Always start with the smaller amount and consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalised guidance.
Mix ½ tablespoon of Salab Panja powder with a glass of lukewarm milk — best taken at breakfast or before bedtime depending on your wellness goal. Milk is the classical and most effective carrier for this herb.
Bedtime with warm water is the most recommended timing for overnight constipation relief and colon cleansing. Morning on an empty stomach works well for detox and digestive fire support. Taking ½ tsp in the morning with water improves digestion throughout the day.
Yes — traditionally used in Ayurveda, Salab Panja is known to help enhance energy, endurance, and vitality, making it a valuable addition to a daily wellness routine. It is a rejuvenating herb that traditionally helps reduce fatigue and improve the body's ability to cope with physical and mental challenges.
Salab Panja tubers contain a nutritious starch-like polysaccharide called glucomannan — a natural soluble fibre that contributes to the herb's nutritive and demulcent (soothing) qualities, supporting digestive comfort and overall nourishment.
