FAQs
Yes — and more. The same herb that has nourished Indian scalps for generations works just as powerfully from within. When consumed as a powder, Brahmi nourishes hair follicles at the root level, something topical oil alone cannot reach.
Yes, they complement each other well. Ashwagandha strengthens and energises, while Brahmi calms and sharpens. Many Ayurvedic practitioners recommend both together. However, if you are on any prescription medication, consult your doctor before combining supplements.
Brahmi is a tonic herb — it works gradually and cumulatively. Most people begin noticing improved focus and reduced mental fatigue within 3–4 weeks of consistent daily use. For deeper benefits like memory and sleep quality, give it a full 8–12 weeks.
Brahmi has been given to children in India for centuries to support learning and concentration — especially during exams. For children under 12, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for the right dosage. Generally ¼ tsp in warm milk is traditionally recommended.
We recommend avoiding Brahmi during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically advised by your gynaecologist or Ayurvedic doctor. Please consult a qualified practitioner before use during these stages.
Brahmi is not a sedative. It calms mental chatter without causing drowsiness, making it suitable for daytime use too. In fact, many people find it improves their alertness and productivity. If taken at night, it supports deeper, more restful sleep.
Absolutely. That distinctive earthy, slightly bitter aroma is the natural character of pure, whole-herb Brahmi — a sign that nothing has been processed out. Adulterated or extract-based powders often have a much milder, almost odourless smell. The aroma is your purity signal.
Yes. Brahmi powder mixed with coconut oil or curd makes an excellent traditional hair mask for scalp nourishment and hair strengthening. Mixed with rose water, it can be applied as a cooling face pack. Dual-use makes it excellent value.
A very common confusion in India. Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is primarily a brain and nerve tonic. Bhringraj (Eclipta alba) is primarily a hair and liver herb. Both are excellent but serve different purposes. Our Brahmi Powder is 100% Bacopa monnieri — the classical brain herb of Ayurveda.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture — ideally in an airtight container after opening. Properly stored, Brahmi powder retains its potency for 18 months. Avoid using wet spoons as moisture degrades the powder quickly.
